Wells of Hope…. Looking towards the Future…EXCITING NEWS !!

“Campo Esperanza”
Meaning “Camp of Hope”

In the fall of 2006 we purchased 10 Acres of land right on the Santa MariaMountains near the City of Jalapa. Elevation 1500 M.

Our temporary camp was on a farmers land and most of us slept in tents with aTrailer kitchen.This worked well for the first 3 years.

We have outgrown these facilities and the farmer wants his land back and thebuilding we used.

This spring (2007)we have built a Central building with Kitchen, Mess hall, 5 bedrooms and an office, and plan to expand by adding 10 more bedrooms this fall. A Guard House and a Maintenance shed is being built at the moment.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

• This will give us room to expand our volunteer programs.
• We will be able to have more medical volunteers to serve our neighbors.
• It will show, we are there for the long run. A LARGER HAND UP-Never a hand out.
• We will help start a small experimental plot with plants, seeds, Etc.
• Have a maintenance shed, to maintain and repair our drilling equipment.
• We will expand our time in Guatemala to year round volunteer work eventually.
• Planning and Communications will be greatly improved .
• Receiving containers right at our camp, will speed up the distribution of the many Items The Niagara Warehouse of Hope donates to the people in Guatemala.

This is a team effort……thanks to our donors……..join our team …….
