On October 17th, two hundred Wells of Hope friends and supporters gathered at the Stone Mill Inn.It was a moment to celebrate. A time to reflect on the commitment, dedication, and perseverance of so many people who helped make the impossible… possible!
The night got underway with an antipasto bar
While people gathered, mingled and found their seats they were entertained by the Spanish music of Zach Preston & Lil Acevedo
They also had a moment to look at memorabilia collected over the last ten years
Randy Hendriks welcomed the guests, and Fr. Randy Gallant blessed the tasty dinner
After Dinner Ted van der Zalm and Scott Maxwell reviewed some of the highlights and challenges faced in the last ten years
With gratitude they acknowledged the many people, and organizations that made great investments, both through their time and financial commitments to make Wells of Hope a success
They outlined the many projects accomplished including 12 wells drilled, 15 schools built, 30 houses erected, as well as countless thousands served by medical mission trips and backpacks program
Miriam van der Zalm concluded the presentation by sharing a moving story of how communities in Guatemala are heeding the call to come together and support one another
In the end, everyone present was also given the challenge to reflect on how they could mae a commitment to help see the work of Wells of Hope continue. If you’d like to make an online donation today, follow the “give today” button on our website or click here.
