For the 13th year in a row, more than 110 golfers played at Riverview Golf and Country Club in Fenwick in support of Wells of Hope projects in Guatemala.
On Saturday, July 6th and with over 150 sponsors, the Golf Committee headed by Ben Obdeyn and Frank Memme had everything ready for 12:30 shotgun, after enjoying a sausage-on-a-bun lunch courtesy of Ramaker’s Imports and Mabo Westside Construction.
The winners of the 2019 Golf Tournament were the foursome integrated by Jim McCarthy, Don MacPhearson, Sue Hale and Mike Hale.
A Silent Auction and other fun activities were part of the program. We thank all sponsors, golfers and volunteers for another successful event, who helped fundraise more than $50,000. This amount will cover about 1/3 of the cost of a typical well drilled in Guatemala, which is usually 800-1000 feet deep.
