Wells of Hope was blessed to have a delegation of Niagara-on-the-Lake Rotarians recently visit camp to review ongoing projects supported by Rotary and investigate possible initiatives in the future. Martin Quick and Comso Codina spent the week travelling through the dusty, winding mountain roads, visiting school projects, water wells, hospitals, nutrition centres, as well as sampling the local fruit and coffee grown at camp. They were also able to participate in a Rotarian luncheon and exchange Rotary banners in Guatemala City at the end of their stay. Members of the Guatemalan rotary club shared with them initiatives they have been working on in the area of community development, high efficiency stoves, and medical missions. Wells of Hope is so grateful for the partnership and support of the Niagara on the Lake club and is always willing to visit and speak to other Rotary and Services groups about ways that we can help create ongoing, sustainable projects together.Cosmo Codina, a professional photographer, provided some wonderful photos to Wells of Hope that will be used in upcoming events, some of which can be seen below.
